Corning showed off the Gorilla Glass 2 at last year’s CES and this year they’ll show off its successor at the world’s biggest technology trade show. While Corning wants us to wait till January 7 before letting out all the details, they did confirm Gorilla Glass 3 to have “new glass composition with durability enhancements.”
Last year, Corning managed to slim down the Gorilla Glass 2 by 20 percent while retaining the same sturdiness.
